Welcome to Helping Hands Autism Awareness Training course where participants will learn all about Autism. In this course participants will learn exactly what an autistic spectrum disorder is and what it is not, the characteristics that lead to an ASD diagnosis, the autistic spectrum and typical autistic behaviours. Upon completion of this course participants will develop an understanding of what autism is and how the condition may manifest in certain behaviours and how to appropriately respond to these behaviours and additional needs. This will ensure that participants are well equipped to care for clients or service users with an autistic spectrum disorder in an appropriate, understanding and supportive manner.
